Hello members and guests!

I'll get it right out in the open at the beginning... I'm soliciting money. Not for me but for Derek, aka Degsy.

Many of you know Degsy from this site and I'm sure that many of you know the kind of guy he is. I have experienced first hand how much of a generous person Degs is. I have seen him go above and beyond to help out several riders with their bikes.

Derek will be racing an F4 (?) this year and I thought it would be a good idea to try and do some fund raising for him. Maybe as a pseudo-NESR sponsored racer? If that's ok with our administrator and moderator....

If anyone has any ideas on fund raising or would like to donate to "the cause" please let me know.

PS- Guys.. this will certainly guarantee us pit passes to all the racers + the opportunity to pose on his bike.

Hey rich, you could sell your sperm for profit to a sperm bank.

it is a good idea to do some fund raising for the cause, i just don't have any good ideas right now.

Called the sperm bank... apparently they have a full stock of premium grade already. After telling them about my ability to fill a coffee mug, they put me on their call list.

I'm thinking about doing an auction at Stonnerfest... have anyone that's interested bring something up to be auctioned off. Old riding gear, parts, bottle of Cabo... etc...

Count me in. Anyone who has met Derek (most of us here) knows he is very cool and would do anything to help anyone. He's exactly the type of person you'd want to be around if you needed help or a good friend.

In addition to money, I'll see if I have anything I can donate to the auction.

I may see if we can start another topic on the board index... "NESR Racing" what do you think Josh... we can post info about Degsy, track days, times from the drags and technical racing info. It's time this site got a little more technical anyway right? Not that I know a gas cap from a gromet(sp?).

I am going to throw my autographed Dave Sadowski helmet up for auction... this is my ONLY prized collection item. So you can see I'm serious about this fund raising thing.

okay so here is what we do, at every Nesr event we have a 50 / 50 raffel. $5 each entry. draw a name out of the hat who ever wins gets 1/2 of the pot, the other 1/2 goes to Team NESR Racing. which at this time has one sponsored rider.

Apparently the shirts aren't selling so quickly... deadbeats not ordering 'em like they promised. I can't believe these people. Oh wait... didn't I say I'd order two... Jay, get my check I said I sent two weeks ago?

OK Guys, if you want to do someting to help out NESR racing, here's your chance. Last race weekend the canopy broke in high winds. We need a new ez-up canopy for the next race weekend. This is the place where YOU can rest and relax out of the sun (snow) while the racing is going on. the canopy I am looking at is 10' X 10' and costs around $300 including shipping. it has some improvements overe the old one (pegs to the ground, more head room, sandbags for weight etc etc). I have $150 that I got for the old canopy which will go towards the new one. If I can get enough donations/auction funds, t-shirt proceeds etc etc, I will get two 10 X 10's (to make up a 10 X 20 total area) and get some more chairs and maybe a water cooler and such. Funds are tight for me as I have to also pay for the NESR bike to be painted this month. I want to make the NESR area a real gathering place and one of the big meeting spots at the track. Next race weekend is weekend of may 18/19th, please try to be there as it makes a big difference.
