Getting ready for next season??

Anyone started to get there bikes and gear ready for next year yet? Just trying to make the time go by, it's only 5 short months away until the April 23-24th first race weekend

As for me, after being on order for 3 months, finally got my MotoMaster braking kit. I put it on already along with a stainless line. Now i'm looking for a front master off a Honda 450R quad, that seems to be the hot set-up from what the tard guys say. Yes, i'll grind off the Honda so i don't end up with bad luck

Yep! Bike has been laid up since October... planning on some things for next years track dayS! Already signed up for all 4 of them, and planning on the Penguin race school as well. Gotta get some race fairings, safety wire her up, brake kit, clean the carbs, all that good stuff!

Because the one off the TRX450R works better It's a radial master and is the same size as the supermoto brembo and is half the cost new, probably 1/4 the cost on ebay

My truck died so I have to wait till next weekend to pick up the race bike. I have some parts on order, as soon as it's in the garage I'm gonna send the cash for penguin. Then I'm gonna start stocking up on spares and building up the bike. Also gonna play a whole lot of PS2 motogp, and read twist of the wrist one and two a bahgillion more times. Can you tell I'm excited?

Looks like I better start practicing. I havent' even picked up a PS2 yet cause I know if I had that and the motogp's I'd never get my work done. When I do maybe you should come down to my place, we'll set up a match on the 60" TV and crank up the surround sound. It'll be so intense we'll need to wear leathers and helmets.

After I get this cast off in mid Dec. I'll host several more Shop days for those that want a clean, warm, dry place to prep bikes for next year. We can also do some group buys, and you also get your NESR Discount as well. Stay tuned....

Mark before you buy on ebay:

  • []Item Number Description Price
    []53190-HP1-006 (lever)*53190-HP1-305 $20.89
    []53176-HP1-006 CVR, R. HANDLE LEVER $8.36
    []45510-HP1-006 M/CYL SUB-ASSY, FR. $30.36
    []90145-MS9-612 BOLT, OIL (10X22) $3.38
    []90545-300-000 WASHER, OIL BOLT $1.61
$60.64 Total, from www.servicehonda.com

I just made a quick list assuming the m/c sub assembly, lever, banjo bolt, 2 crush washers, and the rubber boot. No lines etc.

They also have the whole parts microfiche for download @ their site (2.5 megs if you want it), there is even part ##'s in there for the OEM Honda stickers

I bought a CRF450 M/C for my YZ450 last year off ebay, used for about 45$ and wish I knew the above beforehand

I have the motor out, cylinder and head off, rebuild kit sitting on the bench. I still have a cast on my right hand, so I'm waiting for that to come off before I dig into the more involved work.

Upgrades will include:

Electric shifter
billet head with replaceable combustion chamber inserts.
I will properly esablish the squish volume and compression ratio.

Did i miss the part on what bike you're racing next year?

About the only thing i did to mine was put the dirty wheels back on, and there's a bag of ice screws waiting to be screwed into the nobbies

I picked up a salvage '03 600RR. Just cosmetic damage on it. I've never been more excited in my life.

Mark you have any extra tires I can put screws in? My bike has new tires and I don't want to ruin them..

I believe it's a 21 and an 18

I put screws in my quad tires last winter and it didn't ruin them. As long as you don't go deeper than the nobby is, you should be fine. I don't have any extra dirt tires, in fact the ones i'm studding up on the YZ are still like new
