I Think I'm Ready To Race?

O.K so I got a bike (Thanks Legal Speed!)
I got a new helmet and new suit
I even cleared off a place on my mantle for
a tropy....Stop laughing, it COULD possibly happen

I'm not sure of a couple things and costs

I'm going up to the track to do Penguin on Friday and race this weekend. When can I register for a race and where are the prices posted or how much will it cost?

I'm going up there in a small RV, how much does it cost for renting out a spot on the infield? Do I take care of this at the front gate or need to take care of this ahead of time?

Thanks
-Chris

Registration opens around 3-5pm on Friday, 7am Sat. morning. Take care of it Friday night, the line can be long in the morning.

Sprint (most of the races) $60 for you, pre-reg and it's $50. GT 30 min race is $120 post- 100 pre reg.

After your first weekend, pre register.

Camping on the infield costs $50, but you get electricity. Be sure to give ME your $50!!!

J/K $10 for electricity $50/wheelie- camping is free.

On Friday you have from 6-8pm to get your registrations taken care, tech is also open the same hours. Once you get your penguin card (you'll be there until 6pm), drop everything and run out to registration. First get your license taken care of, then get your transponder, finally get in the POST entry line. It's best to have the race entry form before hand and filled out, you can go to the LRRS site and download them and print them out.. If you finish all that in time, you need to get to Street & comp ASAP and get your race numbers and a transponder clip (they "may" give you a clip at registration though) and if you get your numbers on in time, take your bike to the tech garage

I went through Penguin last race weekend. We were in class until almost 7:30pm. They would not let us register Friday night because they were so busy. (they sent word to the class and told us to not go over) That may or may not be the case this weekend...depends on how the weather is and how things go I guess.
If you can't register until Saturday morning, don't panic...just plan on missing the 8:00am practice unless you are the first person in line and you have everything else all set and ready to go. It's no big deal...you'll have plenty of time for second practice. Just make sure your bike is already to go for Saturday morning.
Penguin only takes credit cards or cash. No checks.
Registration and License will take cash, checks, or credit cards.
Cash is easiest for registration and license because it prevents you from jumping from the reg line to the credit card line. At the registration, plan on spending:
License = $110
Each race = $60 for sprint and $120 for GT
Transponder = Credit card for deposit - refunded if transponder is returned.
Have fun !

reg has been open by 3:30 on Fri.

Set up your pit so you can just plug in your warmers Sat morn.

If you have to reg Sat morn. get there at 6:45-7am; you may get through the line and have enough time to plug in your warmers.

I've never heard of registration opening any earlier than 6:00 PM on Friday. Many times we're standing out there until 6:00:01 before they open the windows.

I think they are trying to avoid that. I was all set by the time I left last Fri. AND nobody else even knew it was available, so I was the only one at the window. I believe it was 3:30pm.

You know Ken, ask Pat real nice-like....

But I don't think they can reg until they have passed Penguin, so not until the classroom ending.
