i am going to do the rookie race, 600 mayhem race and probably the novice gt race. i will be the slow guy on the grey and green zx6r.


couple of questions...

are the novice numbers red on white or red on yellow?

i have a cotter pin in the rear axle. is this enough for tech or do i need to safety wire it?

what has to be wired for the front axle? can i just wire the pinch bolts or do you have to do the axle too?

How much is it to enter a race and do you have to pay for the tranponder?

thanx for the help and sorry for the hijack.

Assuming that my plans to buy an EX500 go through, I may have some zx6r parts for sale. Say an ohlins shock, woodcraft rearsets, and spare set of rims...Just FYI

-Novice is Red numbers on a White Background
-Each race is $60 for a srpint (8 laps)...$50 if you had pre-registered, which wasn't an option for you
The GT 30 minute race you wanna do is $120
-They take your credit card as a deposit if you loose the transponder. No money needed up front. If you do loose it I think its $350??
-As for safety wiring, when in doubt safety wire it your first time through so you don't waste alot of time with Tech inspectors.
You will have to wire your rear axle bolt even if it has a cotter pin.
-For the front run satey wire from the axle and then through the 2 pinch bolts.
....They also may not have told you, BUT if you are getting licensed on the last weekend of the season then the rookies are responsible to bring beer up for all the racers that are already licensed. You only have to bring enough beer for like 2 or 3 racers...not all of us

Just pick one and hop on and race it. Its the last weekend, you have all winter to repair a friends bike you may crash.
...You can enter my pit bike if you want to...seeing I sold my race bike too.
