Cool

My quicky weekend report

I took Friday off and had wanted to run the afternoon open practice so I left early to get ahead of the traffic and was at the track about 8:30 am. The "crew" was just waking up from the previous nights festivities when I got there
It was a slow day and motivation was low, it pretty much took me until 1pm to fully unpack and set up, by then it was almost time to register for practice. The plan was to run the KTM in 2 sessions and the YZ in the last session.
I did the first session on the KTM and that was enough for me, totally set up wrong with the suspension and the brakes were aweful compared to my YZ. It also felt like it had way less power than the YZ. I did hit 100mph down the front though according to the speedo!!! I didn't feel like messing with it so I took the YZ for the second session. We got about 1/2 lap in and the red flag came out and resulted in a nice long hour delay because there were no ambulances. When we finally got back out there, it was a pretty fun session riding with trackdog and jimf (until jimf blew by me like i was standing still). I thought they we done and we just lost a session because of the delay so i took the gear off and went to take care of race registration... The bikes were on track until it was just about dark and we would have gotten one more session.. oh well

Hucklefucker brought up that projector thing and we watch a really cool slide show and then played a movie, something to do with Southpark? I forgot the real name but I never laughed so hard in my life at a movie, that was some funny shit...

saturday started out cold, I think it was in the upper 30s early 8:15am practice and I took it pretty slow just following other bikes around and taking in the tracktime. After the 3rd lap, a rider on a CR500 motard is coming out of pit-out and gets on the gas hard heading for 3, i had the drive so I was on his tail as we got on the brakes, he tucked the front rite in front of me just after the apex of three. I thought for sure I was going to hit him but remember them saying in the class to always look behind the rider if they crash in front of you.. hit the brakes quick and turned in tight for a near miss Other than that the practice was uneventful for me.

I had only entered 1 race for the weekend, race 3 GTL. Race 1 and 2 were both cut short because of red flags. As usual to NHIS, the infield speakers were not working at the time so I just made it to grid as they were letting the bikes out on hot pits. Several bikes did not make it and had to start from there. I had the worse grid of the season, not preregistering really sucks as I was in the last row Seeing how I suck at passing I knew I had to get a good start and I did. I went into turn 1 in 5th and held it for a couple laps. I got repassed by 2 others from my race and finished 7th It was a fun and uneventful race though so I was happy about that.
This probably was the last race I will ever enter. I had planned on not racing next season on a regular basis and just maybe entering a race or 2 when the forcast called for nice weather 1 or 2 weekends a year. After this weekend, I no longer have a desire to be on the track

Saturday night was shaping up to be a good one. Sean and myself went for a firewood run that afternoon and wanted to make sure we had plenty of it... I made the rounds for the pizza order and called that in and that turned into a rather grose trip to pick it up. A van had hit a BIG moose on 106 just before the pizza joint, it was pretty nasty and the thing was still alive and kicking when we went by the first time.....
I can't really describe everything that happened that evening (it take me to long to type it) so I'll post up a picture story in a day or 2 but I will say it was pretty fun. Who was the drunkest there? I never saw JimF so drunk Oh yeah and hardcore DID end up getting run over....with the ladies

Sunday I woke up about 8:30 and was extremely hung over I could see another low motivation day coming here. It took just as much time Sunday to pack up and leave as it did Friday to set up I stayed to watch a few races and left for home about 2pm.

It was great to see everyone up there and thanks again to Sean and Leah for whipping up some good food as always

I'm looking forward to being up there next year even though I won't be racing. I really enjoy being around the group in our area and i'm sure it will be just as fun. I also plan on corner working just to stay involved

Noice report!

Sucked I missed friday practice but in hindsight I was better off not getting there until sat. evening.

Good times though!

Oh, and the movie was 'Family Guy', not 'South Park'.

My quicky weekend report

it was "Stewie Griffin: The untold story"

I picked it up at wall mart last week and watched it before the track and I still laughed my ass off the second time. I am suprised that walmart carries such films.
