FUSA is not what is used to be. It was originally designed as an open class, unlimited mods class. Now, it just another club racing organization.

Remember the YZR500 GP bikes, turbos, nitrous, Suzuki 7/11's, FZR750RR's with 1000cc superbike motors, TZ350's?

I was at Road Atlanta for one of those Nationals. It was very cool.

FUSA dropped that formula several years ago and now they want to make it more in line with the other major series.

No, actually FUSA was a class run with the WERA Pro series. It was later sold, resold, merged, with Pace/SFX to becom the CCS national series. It had good potential with the backing they had but all mgr talent went elsewhere so it fizzled.

ASBA will be filling that void now within CCS, just with a different name, same old same old.

wow, i'd like to see that. seeing as Formula Extreme has let us down so much recently.
