yeah, Lime Rock Park... and no, no bikes (although I hear they do have vintage bike races there once a year)

Limerock doesn't do races, but they have open practice trackdays for bikes there.

And don't get your excitement all jazzed up yet, the NJ track is owned by the same people who own VIR, and they are not very bike friendly people, believe it or not.

Just being realistic--south jersey shore. c'mon, its gonna be a playground for Atlantic City moguls to go play with their cars when they want to.

even if bikes aren't allowed, at least it'll begin to open up the minds of people in the north east to building new tracks.

BTW, Johnny... that wasn't a woodie, it was just a semi

track construction isn't exactly a new thing to the north east, getting them opened and complete is.

Rousch Creek was the big hype back in 2000-2001 and is pretty much DOA right now.

Tamworth up in NH for past several years hasn't gone anywhere

Glen Watkins was gonna do a revamp for bikes, didn't happen.

BridgeHampton got shut down

NHIS has lost its AMA event, its FUSA event, and is now a poorly respected club only facility without even a national event of some form.

I used to work there and they had a 1 hour open practice for $50. You had to show a racing license to ride. Not a bad deal but not too great either. There isn't much run off in a few of the turns (end of back straight before the hill...yikkes) and along the right sweeper before the bridge. But even with all that it is a fun track and has a few neat features, i.e.: The wheelie's you can ride as you crest the hill as you get onto the back straight. Powering under the bridge down the hill then draggin' your knee before you blast the front straight into turn one. I would also say it is one of the prettiest little tracks I have ever been too.

So we'll do a week-long trip. Go to NHIS, NJ, VIR, and a few in florida?

me either but it's fun to travel and play on new tracks get there at 4am have a beer 2 hours of sleep then learn the track. WERA has lots of places to race, I don't know about race classes for EX's though. This year I plan to race anytime I can get enough vacationtime...might have to stuff tire warmers in a backpack and strap a headlight to the racebike for the travel.

College student's budget doesn't afford that crazy shit! College budget doesn't really afford racing at all, but I work it out. I'll wait till my times go down and my ranking goes up before I start to travel.

Jay.
VIR in June. CCS Races / National
Oh yea baby.

Ultralight WERA Novice (and non-Novice) times weren't all that snazzy... For instance: Pete Oreo would have won Novice by 4 seconds on his EX. Granted Novice had ONE GUY on the grid and Expert had like 5. Whoopee dooo. Hopefully the CCS races in June have more (March probably doesn't bring out all the homeboys). Plus the WERA Ultralight (D Superbike) races were 3 laps... wtf is that crap

Right now I'm thinking
LRRS
VIR CCS
AMA Grand Nats in Sept (skip LRRS round)

Crappy thing about Grand Nats is they run WERA rules and I have to get a steering damper. Mandatory for WERA. Weird.

Are you forgetting daytona?

I've got a good feeling about kicking some ass down there this year.

I have two GPR dampers that I can't use at the same time. If you have to mount one up just for the event look into just getting the mounting kit and you can run one of mine for the races.
