Just reading this is making me jealous. Not only have I only got 100 mi on the bike this season but now I have to read all the threads about this coming weekend. That's not too bad until you consider that I can't be there. On top of that, it's the busiest weekend of the year on campus and I will be working at least a 14hr day - 3pm to 5am.

Actually, I think they changed the pre-reg deadlines. I'd call to find out. I remember something said about it at the banquet. Like you have until 2 days prior to pre-reg or cancel for that matter. Don't quote me, call to find out.

hmm... from the 2006 Rulebook:

2.4. ENTRIES: Only 2006 entry forms are to be used.
NHIS: Entries may be made by mail or fax. Pre-entries, along with the appropriate
fee, must be received by the track no later than ten days prior to the event. Late entries will be treated as regular entries.

2.5. CREDITS: If you must cancel a pre-entry, you must notify NHIS prior to the
opening of registration on the Friday night prior to the event.. No-shows will
not receive refunds or credits towards another event. There will be no changes
to entries once registration has closed on the day of the race.




so it looks like 2 days to cancel, still 10 to pre-reg.

That still could be a good thing, even if you don't get the discounted price. The post registration line can suck most of the time and half the people never have their shit together so the line moves slow.
I think that's what I'll do if/when I enter a couple races this year... it could happen
