CCS @ VIR in June.

June 24-25 ASRA Virginia International Raceway 6th Annual V.I.R. Festival of Speed Paul Farrell Memorial weekend.
http://ccsracing.com/venues/2006/vir.html

Anyone interested? I figure if enough of us go & split up the costs we can get there pretty cheap.

Are there any classes that our EX500s would be competitive at all in?

I don't see any LWSM or PTWN races.

It's a lot of fun. You buy hisiders EX yet?

This is a Valentino Rossi accent thread, you take your damn dirty Troy Bayliss accent somewhere else

Seriously man, that's bitchin. I've seen that bike and it should be turn-key once you get a new battery in there. But let me know if you need anything, I got buckets of spares from my EXs previous owner. Especially if you need a right exhaust pipe, I have 6. No left pipes, but 5 right ones. Gotta love loudon.

We gonna see you up there in June?

Is that why my left pipe looks like chrome and my right one is still barbecue-paint black?

Well, they did make both chrome and black pipes for the EX500, which color you got just depended on what year it was. If one side or the other was replaced from a different year you might have ended up with one of each.

Or is that the sound of a joke going over my head?

The "chrome" mod was courtesy of the track surface on Turn 6 and 2.

Ahh...I have a mod like that myself, courtesy of turn 5 at VIR south. All those right handed turns and I somehow manage to bin it on the one real left hander on the track

Hrm. I may go. Between now and the Classic I am running flat out for work. Basically everyday for everyweek with some major events. Needless to say.. I am going to be COOKED during the Classic (my first race weekend).

I really want to race at VIR thou.

However, looking at WERA and CCS results.. the small grid sizes is pretty discouraging. Yea.. drive 12 hours to race 2 other 'Amateurs' (really novices). Hrm.. :/

That's a fast track with some great blind corners. i don't know if you've ridden it before but it's kinda similiar to VIR south. I have onboard video at home if I can dig it up.

Got room for another head and bike in the bus? That could make gas go down and give you another driver. I also know all the words to row-row-row your boat and 'the wheels on the bus' song.
