LRRS Endurance Race Sept 1st...

QUOTE FROM LRRS TEAM ENDURANCE RACING RULES

"...amateur team members must have a minimum of three weekends of racing experience..."

"...all entries will be verified and the penalty for non-compliance is disqualification...

So in a word....FUCK! Looks like Bill and I are out. However, I'm gonna faithfully volunteer BOTH Bill & I for the crew (right Bill?) I'll be there anyway, and I'm sure Bill will be into it too. None the less, I'm definitely down for this one way or another. Sorry guys, I was really looking forward to this...

Yeah, it sucks! I've already made plans to do this with you guys. Already made plans to take time off from work to do the school, already made plans at work to take a coupla Thursdays off to do the practices. Oh well, then. I'm thinking I'll still take the school, just to get my certificate. Then maybe I'll just enter a coupla races here and there to meet the requirements for next year. I dunno....

But I will be there as usual, working in the typical capacity. One way or another, I will take some part in this. I had planned on being there all weekend that weekend anyway. So count me in on the crew...

Also, rules state that at least one team member that's racing be a Junior or an Expert...

None the less, I'll be picking up a few items needed for the 'pit' area during the race...

I think that you and Gerard and Bill and me should make some serious plans to sit down and figure out a plan of attack. We can do it next race weekend, as we'll be pretty much by your sides for the weekend anyway...

Sounds good to me. I will be racing Junior/Expert that weekend anyway. Next race weekend is my last as an amateur. I WILL win the MWGP race. I will be running slicks and I am registering TODAY for hopefully pole position.

I'm gonna pick up the fire extinguisher needed and some Speedy Dry (also required) before the races August 17th-18th. A bit early, but I wanna get 'em soon...

Also, do you have any idea where to get a 'quick fill' gas can?

Probably a stupid question, but the extinguisher is rated for gas/oil & the such, right?

I'll start poking around for a quick-fill can...

I just bought a 5 gallon quick-fill, so don't worry about that, and the fire extinguisher is the correct one.

WE will need a pit board though!!

LRRS Endurance Race Sept 1st...

This all sounds great.
I don't know if feilding two teams is going to work. Lets concenrate on the one team Winning this race. I was at the track today and think that I found some spots where I was coasting instead of on the power, and braking toooooo early.

Are there regular races that weekend also or just the endurance?

Again thanks to all who showed and helped out. Bill was at the track Sunday morning before we even showed ( we over slept, sorrry Bill) by the time we arrived he already had my new brake lines on. Far beyond the call of duty. Jay since I have started this racing thing you haven't missed a day. Thanks again.

Degsy,
Any chance we can jet that bad boy down, and get some plug shots on it?
should definately try going up one on the rear sproket too.
you got at least 500 RPM's over rev, might as well use it!

Quick Fill Can

Degs, you can make em on your own if you get a "race" fuel can like the one I have. You just need to buy the hose and fittings for a bigger diameter hose. I have a 1 inch diameter hose on my gas can, but Steve's endurance team made one with a 1 1/2 inch diameter hose and it fills the tank pretty damn quick
