Rick @ underground supercycle has a few things going on this weekend.

Rick is has been heading up trackside support for bridgestone in addition to his normal business at the track. I have been dealing with him all season and I could not nit pick anything to criticize. That being said....

First deal going this weekend.

Buy two sets of Bridgestone BT002's and he's going to throw in a free 5 gallon VP gas jug. If you're not going to go through two sets of tires this weekend, you can have them for the next race weekend, and he will of course still mount/balance them for free.

Second deal going this weekend,
Rick is currently finalizing a novice contingency program. He doesn't have all the details together just yet but it will be squared away by this weekend so stop by and ask him about it. Basically, what I've been told is it's for novice riders and will pay out to 8th place!

Underground supercycles is located on the left as soon as you come past the fense into the south garage area.



Also, If you're looking to upgrade or replace any of your gear, stop by and see Deb at Sportbike technologies, She'll have a bunch of motophoria gear, suits, gloves, armor and the like. Anything she doesn't have right there at the track for you she can likely get overnight. Check out there stuff, it's top quality, anyone who has tried their gloves never goes back. Deb will also have some of their new type of armor.

Sportbike Technologies is located in the GMD garage in the south garages....I think everyone knows where that is. She is also one of the sites prefered vendors so if you have any questions or requests drop her an e-mail or post it up in her forum.

So if you spend about $700 in tires he will give you a free Plastic jug worth $25. Not really a deal to me.

Pirelli was doing buy 1 set and a rear and you get a FREE front for and saving of about $175. To me that is a deal, but I guess a free plastic jug is a good deal also.

They mailed me six flyers for that deal. I still wouldn't run their tires. Dunlop has given me the same deal, and I'm not running their tires either. Rick is a small business making an effort to give these racers a deal at his own expense, he's not a billion dollar corporation, that's still taking a profit on the sale while giving away tires for free. Any other tire VENDORS at the track offering any deals? Didn't thinks so.

It's so nice of you to speak up only to talk shit about some else's sales. Have you ever considered offering something constructive here instead of bitching like a little girl about other peoples deals? If you don't like the deals or the prices, don't take them. This is a message board and people have the right to state their own mind right Just because I don't agree with you on this doesn't mean I'm talking shit about this guys sale. I was just saying I don't think this is deal. If someone else thinks this is a deal and are going to get the tires do you think they are going to stop and say to themselves "Kip doesn't think this is a deal so I'm not going to buy the 2 set".

I don't know jack about tire deals, but i have a pair of motophoria gloves and love them. I sleep with them at night under my pillow. That way if any one breaks into my place at night i can slap the ever loving crap out of them!

It's interesting how this is the only industry I know of where the participants expect others to subsidise their hobby. When was the last time you saw a ski mountain give away free skis because you have a race license. Or how about this, you get to work today and your boss says, "Paying employees is to expensive, so what we are going to do is pay every body half of what they get retail for their time and in exchange I'll put your name on the side of my car. That way every one will see your name and want to hire you do what you're doing now. Then you can charge them retail. It will make you rich, no really!!!"

I think it's nuts that someone would choose the single most important part of their race bike based on the deal that is being offered.

IF you run bridgestones, then it is worth buying two sets at once to get the jug (they are $35 I believe), but to switch to bridgestones just to get the jug, nuts!
