Open letter to cheap bastid part borrowers

Dear cheap bastid part borrowers,

I don't mind you borrowing parts off my spare EX500, however I would appreciate it if you would take the time to ensure that the bike is put back together as much as possible.

I opened my trailer today to find a puddle of oil under the spare EX which has now made a nice big oil stain in my trailer. I sleep in that trailer, and I don't like sleeping in oil, or having my things covered with oily film.

So again, you're welcome to borrow parts, but make sure that all the parts you don't use are bolted back onto the bike and especially that the bike is not leaking fluids.

Hugs and kisses,
Honclfibr.

Honkelfuckker -

Sorry I borrowed your oil drain bolt and let some oil leak onto your trailer. In order to make it up to you, I will be up soon to pick up my shitty bike.

Love

Mike

I buttoned up the cover on the side of the engine, it shoulda held oil. Everything lined up right.

Eh, maybe it's leaking from somewhere else then. I was just annoyed when I found a puddle of oil in the trailer. I've got some rags in there now to catch any further dripping, I'll probably just drain the oil out completley next weekend that way it won't happen again.

Anyone got a trick for getting oil out of wood? I hear brakleen works pretty well...

Got the wheel chocks I bought off ebay installed in the trailer, they are a nice piece of kit. With a set of cam straps they make strapping the bike down a one man job, takes under three minutes. Highly recommended.

Propane, but if you want a lower strenth approach, Castrol super clean should work (purple bottle) or simple green, etc...

Brake cleaner also works well, but I like carb cleaner...not sure why, I think it damages rubber parts less.

Whatever you use, your gonna need some good ventilation don't forget.

We're all good, everybody on the team has helped everyone else out at some point or another. Just wednesday, Pete got my prereg in for me right under the wire as I was stuck on a field test and couldn't get it in. Thanks, Pete
