motard list

i would like a list of everyone who has a motard (race or not)or even a dirtbike that "could" be used as a motard with the right wheels. oh and it must be a 4 stroke.

if you could start the normal cut/paste list with name and year, make and model. thank you

At OVRP I am Oxymoron. Perhaps also at LRRS if I am in a Championship battle and it's raining as well.

Are you making this list so that you can "recommend" we all get belly pans?

I have a belly pan on my motard, per WERA requirements.

Sweet real carbon fibre too: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KTM-H... agenameZWDVW

Just keep in mind that there are true carbon fiber pans and you won't be able to put it on a center center without smashing it down (which is bad).

At that price, buy two. The guy is really cool, just makes one at a time. I've been hawking his stuff online a lot, I wonder if there's a waiting list yet.

YES... im planning on making some bellypans (prolly aluminum, but steel if i have to) i need to know who has what so i can "borrow" bikes to make templates. ive done enough bitching about it... now im doing something about it. i figure if i can get it going then take it to LRRS and say "the rules say this... your not enforcing them .. so im doing this... what are you gonna do to enforce it now?" i saw too many (what i feel) avoidable accidents this year resulting from (again what i feel) lack of belly pans and rule enforcement. there are "diapers" out there and the C/F one is cool. but like webcrush said.. you "could" crush or crack them on a center stand hence an aluminum one would be better i think. if LRRS will change the rules about helmets (the HJC fiasco) then why not the belly pans? im giving it a shot. my only problem now is finding someone to weld aluminum that is nearby

Cracking doesn't do much damage in terms of fluid retention. It still has a super absorbent foam sponge which will suck up A LOT of fluid before it ever managed to find a crack to 'seep' through.

But if you are going to enforce the bellypan rule, might as well start with EX500's as well otherwise your 'this is the rule and you have to enforce it' line isn't going to hold up well.

i live in somersworth and keep my bike at my studio in rollinsford and you are more than welcome to do a template on mine and i will even buy one from you. I agree with what your saying and i am running a belly pan next year weather they enforce it or not. If your engine lets go the first tire to hit it is your own. At least with a belly pan you have a good shot at getting off track on 2 wheels. I was looking into ways of doing it so i could still use my center stand cause it works awesome and i am to cheap to buy stands.

the problem w/ EX's is that there's not enough ground clearance

note sparks from headers behind the bike

They end up getting holes worn through them. Cracks may not let through much fluid, but holes do.

Now that I raised my rear suspension I may try to put my belly pan back on & see how it goes. But chances are, it'll still hit in the turns 3/4 and 10 transitions.

If you're going to enforce a rule across the board, you can't let exceptions.

How do EX riders in all the other clubs which STRICTLY ENFORCE the bellypan rule get by?
