Looking to join LRRS in 2007

Hi, I'm new to the northeast, but I've put some serious thought into racing next year. My SV650S is pretty well setup for lightweight superbike, it just needs race body work and safety wiring to be a race bike.

As far as my own skills, I went to zoom zooms novice rider school at Thill in 2005, Pridmore's STAR 2-day school in 2006, and a normal track day 2006. I'd say i'm probably a low-B pace rider.

How many trackdays would you recommend to familarize myself with loudon before going to the penguin racing school?

any other advice? I've got great protective gear and health insurance.

Thanks,
atek3

Personally I'd say just go to Penguin and you'll be good to go. Penguin spends much of the first half of the day showing you the racing line before you are 'set free' on your own.

With a resume like that, you have far more experience than I did before I started and I did just swimmingly.

Yea man same here. I did one track day and got hooked. Then this year did the penguin school and got my certificate. I did a few open practice sessions and will be full on racing next year.

You sound like you got it down prety good so just go for it. If your not dead straight on racing right away do penguin and then do practice. Thursday practice is awesome and you got lots of time out there for the money...... as long as not too many people crash.

You're probably good to go as these guys ahve already said.

But, if you're not in a hurry, a few track days is a good idea, because there is a lot to learn to go fast at NHIS compared to other tracks.
