Motard Racing Questions

It's not that we were faster than them or they were faster than us, it was about the same, but the battling back & forth is what slowed us all down. Had there been just a one second gap between us there wouldn't have been a problem, but they decided to combine the two waves which i new on the grid was gonna be a bad idea.

IMO, things were outta hand in that race. Yeah, it was a learning experience for sure and I took things from it, but it got pretty rough. I was told after the race that one of em almost took off my rear tire in turn 3 trying to go up my inside & went down avoiding me. They were riding like asshats & there was no need for it, we weren't even in the same class

Motard Racing Questions

if your bike is street legal and you can get around the track pretty good then you might do well in LWSS. no slicks though and as far as i know a slick on the back of those is the hot set up.

i personally dont care about the tards since i dont seem to have to deal with them much but i understand the problems some have with them. like Jay said they are point and shoot. any idiot can go fast on one even Heath i mean.. he cant even turn right with his knee out

i think the big issue is "lines". since motards are so tall, when they are at full lean they almost take up twice as much space as a regular bike. they are dragging knee in the same spot but their wheels are a foot and half further out. so when you are behind one it looks like they are too far to the outside when setting up for a turn so you think youve got room to run past them (outside or inside) and then they make their turn and "cut you off". i understand, but ive had the door shut on me and seen just as many stupid lines from sportbikes as i have from 'tards

I beg to differ. Sub 23 on any lightweight bike isn't exactly a walk in the park.

23 and 24 are low 20's to me. It's a fast time for a beginner to put down without having a lot of knowledge on the track, lot's of reffrence points, or good set lines.I think I was putting down 25's and 26's on Heaths motard my first race out. I still don't think they're not roadrace bikes and maintain they belong in their own class or on a supermoto track. And that's from a saftey and fair competition standpoint.

Motard Racing Questions

Motards do amke racing in the LW classes quite a bit different than the pre-motard days. But, that's the way evolution goes.

What I find when racing against the 'tards is that you need to be as aggressive or more aggressive than them to get by. Once you get past, they have just as hard a time re-passing as you had passing them.

Racecraft is the name of the game. Knowing where they are weak and striking when opportunity allows.

Unfortunately, with only 8 laps to work with, you have to move quickly. Don't hesitate, or you're sunk.

Thats fair. I would think riding with the exact same bike in each class would level the playing field a good bit.

Unfortunately, wish in one hand, shit in the other...

Or maybe we could have a LRRS WEEK! Boo-Yea.

I hate motards because Chad does. And everyone loves Chad. Battling motards is fun, it got me used to bumping into people! Maybe I'll get a gsxr600 and race it in the lightweight classes, that's always a fun battle.

Chad has been taken out a couple times by asswipe motard riders, + one shitstick decided to run over his head + put him in the hospital almost killing him!!!!

THEREFORE------------ CHAD HATES MOTARDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+ any motard that looks like it might take Chad out again WILL get driven off the track hard!! + I have no problem tracking him down to his pits + splitting his skull !!!

I have ZERO tolerance for any motard rider that wants to ride like he's flattracking it or just plain riding like a dangerous asshole!!

CHAD HAS SPOKEN !

Catch can: redbull can will pass, but something with a cap that is clear is preferable. THat way you can keep tabs on what is filling it and when.

If 8 inch numbers will fit up front, and 6 inch on the sides, you's all set. If not, they may hassle you.

singles can run in almost ANY class, no cc limit. You're banned from 125gp, but that's about it. SS I'm not sure of. That may have a streetbike restriction, but I think your model is street legal? The lightweight classes make the most sense, but some fast guys will run their motard for rain in the big bike classes.
I have AMA Supermoto backrounds on mine, will that be ok?

So you think just Motards ride like assholes? I think you are mistaken. And threats like that are not tolerated in any racing organization. That was the stupidest comment I have seen in a while. I am very aware of riders around me and I personally wouldnt make a move to take someone down. Shit like this makes me ill, and Rebelpackets question wasnt if you liked him or not. Maybe you can come visit us next time at Loudon and we all can be friends

If you want to race LRRS you gotta have LRRS-spec plates. For a Novice (ie: you) that would be white background with red numbers.

Yes I know it may be a pain to swap.. but I'm going to have to do the same thing for LRRS and NASMOTO since Amateur LRRS plates don't match up with what NASMOTO's Amateur plates are. So guess what.. I'm going to get a spare set of side and front panels and switch em out when I need to.

PS: Don't mind Chad. You gotta have met him to understand

Yeah but my side plates are attached to my rear fender. I guess I could find some plastic. I just realized he was speaking in the 2nd person
