What kinda bikes race in these classes? No shit, I have a shiny new bike sitting in my garage that I'm flat out dying to ride. Sitting on it going 'vroom vroom' just isn't the same and I've almost fallen over trying to 'hang off' and practice my form while on the triangle stand! ![]() |

What kinda bikes race in these classes?Since I assume you'll go look em up I'll save you the trouble. MWSS - June Classic 2005 - http://www.lrrsracing.com/results/20...sults/Fri4.pdf -------------------------------------- Actually not 4th, 5th, my mistake. Was in 4th on the first Red Flag, on the restarted race I was in 5th and passing for 4th when it was Red Flagged again. Scoring/timing screwed up though and didn't DQ Erasmo (in 4th on the sheet) even thou he crashed out and DNF'ed, and I got a sweet 6th instead of 4th. HWSS - http://www.lrrsracing.com/results/20...32405/sat2.pdf --------------------------------------- Was in 2nd place and pulled off voluntarily due to my exhaust falling off on Lap 6 of 8. Pretty sure Gosselin (on a motard) was right about to pass me thou because when I was on Pit In he went roaring by. 4th and 5th were a good way back off him. You benefited from my shitbox exhaust as well, as you finished 8th instead of 9th. I would have hated to stay out there, for a silly 2nd or 3rd place plaque, and have my exhaust possibly fall off and cause someone to crash. So yea running 22's - 24's on a 88 Hawk was more than competitive in those two instances. Which backs up my original point, don't bother with Novice MW or HW classes on a slow bike unless you are running easy 24's. Oh might I add that while 22's-24's were competitive, it was extremely fustrating. A 23 on a slow bike and a 23 on a 600 are two different things. It was wicked hard to pass guys because they'd just rocket away on the straights and then park it in the turns. Overall a strange experience but it did help further develop cornerspeed and passing options for me. |

Although, on my SV I always had better luck going into the HW classes rather than MW just due to the number of people in the class. |
