under leather padding

I've landed on my left hip one too many times.... I'm feelin like an old man 4 days after a little spill at mototown.

Anyone have any experince w/ this kinda equipment?
Mission Thorax Sr. Inline Hockey Girdle '06 Model

I can't tell if the padding on the hips is hard plastic or foam... I'd like to get some hard armor right there w/o spending an arm & a leg.

Couple other products i've found... but again, I'd rather have some high impact padding:

ProTec IPS Hip Pads - Snowtraders: Snowboarding and Winter Gear Store.

Hillbilly Dirt Gear Protective Shorts for snowboarding, mountainboarding, bmx - Crash Pads or Butt Pad.

These might be the ticket, but 99 bucks?

ActionStations Inc - Bohn Body Protection & Scottoiler Auto Chain Oiling

plus they look really gay. Here's the less gay version:

ActionStations Inc - Bohn Body Protection & Scottoiler Auto Chain Oiling

There are companies that make motocross / action sport specific shorts like that. Check EVS among others.

Those look OK, but I've got to say I haven't been impressed by the quality of most dirt riding gear. I think the snowboard short you linked look a lot better. Might make you butt look fat though!

I've been threatening to get some shorts like this for a while.

The pro-tec or the hillbilly's? I'm just worried about whether or not they'll fit under my leathers.

If I remember correctly that one seems to be right up your alley

Funny you mention that, I just got a pair of Dainese Pro-tech shorts from
Motomarket because I did not like the hip protection in my current pants.

So far, I like them.

Linky ... https://secure.kneedraggers.com/deta...t--614089.html

They are not solid black like the picture shows, they are a woven mesh with eighth inch holes that breathe.

These bones of mine are getting old, gotta take care of what I got.

I like those! I only wish they put some padding on the front of the thighs too.

But so far, they seem like the front runners in my searching.

Thanks,

I figure these pads will work best for you since you already use them.

There are some DIRT cheap under-leather tops and bottoms on closeout on dennis kirk. I'm talking $200 marked down to $50. If not for my drinking habits I would be picking them up.

Do you mind being a little bit clearer and giving a brand name or something to look for.

They got a lot of stuff at that site.

I wear the EVS padded riding shorts under my leathers. There are foam pads in the hips, thighs and ass. No monkey butt here
