USGPRU with AMA Raod Atlanta

Woot, They have just announced a second 125 race to be run with the AMA. Road Atlanta! Now I have to decide if I still want to go to Miller, or if I should focus on east coast rounds only...

It's a big season for the USGPRU to be sure.

Oh man! This is great! Jamie and I were considering flying out to Miller to watch, but if its Atlanta too, I'd like to race in it instead!

Problem is, I doubt its possible for me to be an EX by then. How does that work if you're only an AM?

USGPRU doesn't have expert or amatuer status. You can sign-up and race as long as you have a license. If there are lots of entrants, though, they reserve the right to impose a laptime cut-off. They haven't done it yet, but they have singled out riders who shouldn't be out there and "encouraged" them not to race.

Well I'll see how quickly I get up to speed this year before I consider it then. I don't wanna be a rolling road block.

Well, that's all relative, but there are definitely guys slower than you out there. I think you should do it. The field is DEEP. Drafting battles are really fun. Qualifying is a rush. It's a fantastic way to improve.
