I was just checking out the results from the MOTO-ST at Homestead and it looks like you did quite well. Congrats Mike.
So...what's it like? Any interesting stories about the race?

Lots of stories. We were running in 7th for a while. The bike started acting up toward the end of the race. With about 5 laps to go, the thing started losing power and for some reason the idle kept going up and up. I literally kept the bike in 6th gear for 4 laps and played with the clutch lever all the way around the track. On the white flag lap, going into turn 2, the motor made some really bad noises and locked up. I pulled the clutch in and coasted into the grass. Talk about pissed

After I got a trailer ride back to the pits, we found out that the motor sucked the the air filter in, wire mesh and all. Apparentely, as it was being sucked in, it was not allowing the throttle bodies to close. I don't know the extent of the damage yet, but they said it would be ready for VIR in 2 weeks.

2nd story involves a rental car, a big empty dirt parking lot and a flat tire. I'll let you guys use your imagination on this one. Oh, it was a Chrysler 300 too!!!

Those 300's are fun after you turn traction control off, I had one in florida. I think I saw P.K.'s picture on the wall at the rental agency.
