Well There's yer problem

Well a nice padded envelope showed up at my door yesterday all the way from CA... via Canada apparently. inside, still in their HRC packets were a bunch of shiney new brass jets and some lovely pointy new needles. YAY! this afternoon i pulled the carbs and brought them down to my basement lab...i mean work shop. i pulled the needles that came with the bike for the millionth time and held one up to the light directly beside the HRC "B" series needle that would be replacing it. hmmmm, well that might explain afew things. seems the origional needles were quite a bit too long. you could see the scuff marks glinting in the light where it had been raming down inside the main jet. how had i missed that befrore? gee i wonder if that explains why i was running terribly lean at partial throttle settings. well it's all back together now in anticipation of the first race weekend. won't really know where i'm at till friday practice but it feels good knowing i atleast have the right parts in there to get a good baseline.

Nice man, that's a good feeling knowing you got some new goodies. I love that saying 'well there's yer problem' and 'i can fix that..'

i'll be running C12 this season, with silkolene instead of A747. it doesn't smell as good but i get it for a nice discount.
