Who's ready!?

I am going to install my new sintered HH pads and rebuilt my front caliper tonight if I can manage to get some sleep first. Bottling days without post work naps make Clayton not good with mechanical things.

Checked the trailer when I got home, it's not leaking! Hoo-ray caulking gun and roof repair crap!

Just rebuilt my brake caliper with all new seals and put some fancy-pants sintered HH EBC pads in there. Also filler her up with water, put on the front fairing and fired her up for one last time before she takes the trip north.

I'M SO EXCITED!

Just picked up a rain suit at Wal-Mart... how excited am I... not really. $27.99 made of some PVC material... I bought an XL because the L looked mighty small in the store. Coming home and trying it on its a bit big, but at least I know it'll fit over the suit. In case any of you need a comparison for yourself, I'm about 5' 10". Regardless, it needs only last until I wreck. I'm guessing the Super Wal-Mart up there will stock out so plan accordingly!

Who's ready!?

I just picked up my 05 helmet, so I'm officially ready. Woosh, Arai's are expensive these days. I tried on the Shoei RF1000, which is supposedly an excellent helmet for a good price, but it was too loose. Soooo, I ended up with a matte silver Arai Quantum II. It's a beautiful lid, but pricey. It fits incredibly well, though, and that's what counts.

Finished wiring the bike, changed oil, checked valves, flipped skins (I hope these Pilot Power Races are better than the Maxxis tires, and not worse). Put bodywork back on. Loading up the truck, and heading up tonight. Anyone gonna be there tonight?

I just dropped almost $500 on a quantum II but man is it a sweet helmet. Jersey better not land on his head if he crashes again, that thing matches his bike perfect.

I got a hookup last year for my street helmet. I got the arai rx7 corsair edwards edition for 509 and moved my shoei over as my race helmet. Both were great but the Arai is insane for air flow.

I thought I was going to make it until tomorrow before I lost all motivation to do work. Instead it hit me mid-morning. Damn.

Sorry bro (and sorry I didn't get to meet you at the trackday). I'll be up by 9:00 or so. Get dinner on the road.

See you up there!

I rode my motard around the lawn today and did lots of sideways powerslides due to grass and slicks. I guess I'm ready.

Set up pit today, watched practice. Narbonne's looking fast as hell, lots more people doing the thursday practice than I'd expect.
