not a thing, limited size selection on discontinued tires, so they wanna get rid of em. Great tire for an amazing price if they fit

those 150s are great on SVs, especially if you get a 60 series front. the bike really drops into the turns

I will never run those Michelins again. I tried the soft this weekend and HATED them. Chatter everywhere. The rear tore up. It looked like Rossis rear after the last race of the season of 06. Chunks take right out of them.

I am going to try the Bridgestones next. Then probably back to Dunlop.

I gave em a shit. I got a good price on them. Can't complain about that ascpect. price and delivery was top notch.

Motorace is good people.

Changing tire brands, or even types, can require modifications.

When I first switched to Michelins, I hated them too.

Spoke to the Michelin rep and explained my "issues" and asked for some input.

Within 2 more practices, I was doing the same lap times as on the Dunlops.

My point is this.

Find a tire/bike combo that someone else (preferably a fast racer, if for the track) has already "tested". When I was had the problem above, I knew it had to be me or my bike since other people were going as fast, or faster, on the same tires and bike as I was on.

A couple race weekends and KB already thinks he's Rossi, riding the tires off the bike. :lol

I did take a look at the tire and the chunking wear on it looked very odd to me. i've never personally seen a tire look like that, especially after just a few races on a motard.

the mich. guy told me that those power race tires chatter and the only way to get rid of/ minimize it was to add pressure

I think you are oversimplifying his explanation. I sit next to him for 4 years now, and never once has he said that Power Race's just chatter.

It is a set-up issue that higher pressure will help mask - to a point. To decrease traction and enable a smoother transition. At a loss of available traction.

To say that Power Races just chatter is very wrong. Chatter can happen with any bike and any tire. The machine must be set-up with the tires included as part of the process to get the most out of them.

I am pushing 400 sets of those sold since January and many multiple purchases by the same rider over the last few months. Not one chatter complaint.

My mediums work fine so far. Although the soft rear on SMF's bike had a cood little gouge going round the tire... I think he LOWERED the pressure and it helped.

I dealt with the chatter and dropped a few seconds of my lap times. So as far as the tire working it worked and worked well. I just did not like the characteristics of the Michelins. I tried them, and will go back to Dunlop. I'll run them in thursday/friday practice and then put some Dunlops back on.

Motards are less prone to 'huge issues' in setup when switching tire brands. At least from the typical non-PSI related issues.

Yes it can still make a change, but when you are dealing with a slip-slide moving and grooving dirtbike that has 12" of travel. A 3mm tire diameter change isn't as crucial as that same 3mm change on a GP250, or dialed R6.
