Wrist update: Good news & bad news

Good news is, I'm "Healing like a 14 year old" and CAST FREE!!! (with a splint)

Bad news is, racing in the Loudon Classic would be *very serious doctor face*... and I quote "Foolish"

The bones are healING, not healED... in fact I could still see most of the fractures in the x-rays that were taken today. And because there's some serious hardware in there, if I were to race all the forces involved would mean I'd risk stripping the bones that the screws are in.

So as much as I want to race, the doctor says it will still be another month before the joint is fully healed which means it's 99% likely I'll be sitting out the Classic

Oh & Nazo... Your Aunt Judy says "Hello"

She was the receptionist at the Dr's office. She asked how I broke it & when I told her she said "Sounds like something my nephew would do, he races motorcycles, too". Needless to say I was pretty surprised when I asked what her nephew's name was & she gave me your name. Small world.

Unless I choose to disobey doctor's orders, it's yours.

Guys, trust me... I would fukin LOVE to race.... I was really hopin to make the Classic my "return to racing"

But immagine you've got a 2x4 & you saw it in 1/2 at a 45 degree angle, put a couple screws through it, then rattle it around untill the screws start to strip out. Then try & screw em back together again....

That's what'll happen if I don't let this fully heal. The bones could potentially strip. It was evident from the x-rays they took today that the bones are not healed, and the way my Doctor reacted when I asked him if I could race next weekend told me this is a very real possibility.

they already have it, its called super glue, and for better protection you use good old alabama chrome,(ductape) wrapped around your appendage
