245 came up on the inside of 524 as 524 started his turn in. bikes came together and got hooked. Rider of 524 fell off when the bikes disconnected and got hooked to 245's exhaust (I think). he was dragged a bit of a distance. luckily his hand and arm didn't get caught by the moving parts. i talked to him afterwards, gloves and leathers ripped, and some rash on his torso and armpit, but mostly unhurt. He loved the pictures!

I saw the whole thing from the bleachers in turn 3. Just happened to be watching these guys. This is exactly what happened.

The guy on the ground was in front of the other guy coming into the chute. Probably 3 bike lengths ahead. He did his braking and initiated turn in. The guy on the 2 stroke tried to take him on the inside when the guy was already next to the rumble strips. There wasn't enough room and the 2 stroker hit the other guy. He went down, but got tangled up with both bikes in the process. He was able to shed his bike by pushing off the 2 stroke but somehow got his arm caught between the rear tire and swingarm. This pic doesn't do it justice - the 2 stroke DRAGGED the guy with his arm caught in the bike from approx where the white line is to where they stopped in the pic. I thought FOR SURE his arm would be broken.

The 2 stroker stopped for a moment to allow the guy to pull his arm out, and then immediately took off and continued the race.

We spoke to the crazy arm man as he walked back to his pit and he was surprisingly OK.

Dunno... if it were me on that 2 stroke, I would have stopped and made sure the guy was alright and taken the DNF. He attempted a really crappy pass and failed miserably, and the other guy could have been seriously hurt.

yea yea yea

the only time I see you is when I'm heading to the grid or coming back from a race. Neither of those times are conducive to chatting. A) I'm usually late to the grid and B) I can't wait to get my leathers off and get a drink of water!

I'll come by on the pit bike next time
