does anybody know how you get on "the" list of cornerworkers at the main gate? I've been flagging the past couple race weekends, but have had to pay $25 up front to get in, although laura gives me a slip to get it back sunday afternoon. sandy keeps telling me i'll get put on, but i dont know if she really has any control over that or what?

i know some of you cornerwork between races, are you on the list or do you get reimbursed before you leave?

do you ask the front gate if you are on the list when you go there? Keira and I corner work and after the first weekend we have just been on the list. Nobody told us we were on it, we just asked and were on it.

Other than that just keep bugging Laura and she will get it done eventually...

i ask her or sandy to every weekend and they keep telling me they will, but i think that they have to actually walk up there and physically do it, so its not getting done!

do you guys flag or run out and do pick up? maybe its only for people that run out on the track?

I asked Sandy once and she had me on the list the following weekend. Maybe she lies me more than you? I don't know what the problem is, but if you want me to hold your hand and make sure it gets done come find me next weekend.

I think if sandy likes you, and can rub both breasts on you, then you're on "the" list.

I forget if it was me or Hessogood or what but she hugged someone and only got one breast on them and came back and made a point to rub both on them.

I have done both but Keira has mainly been a flagger and had only flagged before getting on "the list"

I only flag...

the classic weekend I was NOT paying up front b/c i didnt get reimbursed or payed for the previous weekends so i asked who ever was working at the window for sandy's cell, called her and had her call them to put me on. Just go up and ask for her phone number so she can call them...DONE!

oh, and can you ask them to send me the voucher/cash...they have my contact info i dont think i'll be going up for the rest of the season

i think it depends who gives you the class, a guy did mine and it was over in like 20 mins... however i had a friend with me last weekend that did it with sandy and it was about an hour and a half long

It probably depends on how many bong hits sandy does b4 she gets to the track as to the length of the class.

You're a racer, you know the flags, you know the basics, they'll either give you a crash course real quick or the corner captain where you're placed will give you instructions. You don't need to do the course.

I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to hook up with a Corner Captain for some on-the-job training out in the field. If possible, ask for Scott Sargent. He makes it fun to learn for you and he put together the entire crew we have at our disposal for the Vintage Celebration.

i asked about that for my friend and they wouldnt let her but maybe because you guys already know the flags you'd be all set
