Track and street duty?

Any of you guys use one bike for both track and street, btu most importantly run race fairings for track use? I was thinking of picking up some race fairings for the 6R to do some track days, and maybe some florida racing over the winter where my EX just wont cut it. I know the safety wiring will be a bitch, btu thats one time. How much work is it to convert it to race fairings and back? Just taking out the lights and leave all the wiring and that stuff?

Track and street duty?

i did it when i first started racing....yea thats pretty much all i did was remove the lights and rear pegs. the stock fairing stays line up a little weird with the race plastics (or did for me anyway) but it isn't bad. just beware of how easily the stock stays snap if you drop it.

and of course the stock rearsets/clipons kinda suck to race with, but its doable

Thinking of taking a winter adventure to Homestead.

Yah, thats the other thing snapping things like that, but whatever, Im not gonna cry if I dump my bike, Im accepting that as a possibility, and if I do dump it, just an excuse to get a new bike.
