I was just looking for peoples opinions and experiences on aftermarket fair stays. I need one no matter what, and I see there are a few options out there. Stick with another stocker, or spend a little more on something track specific? Im mostly thinking about how well they hold up in a crash. There are a couple with replacable parts (morse, Gp Tech), and vortex which is one piece. What do ya think? Thanks!

stay away from vortex ... fiberglass holds up better

another idea would be to go through street and comp to get the one they sell....its fairly good with break-away ears on it, and since S&C is always at louden it makes it easy to get the replacements when you need them (since they do break/bend pretty easy in the event of a get-off).

Ive had the GP tech one on my R6 and also have it for my GSXR. So far I like it. Order an estra set of ears just in case. And in a pinch you can use some aluminum tube from home depot.

Depending on your application check the WERA forums I got both of mine for 60-75 bucks each.

Yeah those breakaway ears are tempting, but the R&R is cheaper. Maybe Ill just test them both out
