It says you can polish and surface treat, but not remove material.

By definition, "polishing" removes material.

Seems like a gray area to me.

Honda cannot get their shit together to save their lives!!! Cheating in the class that you are the only factory team is a loser move.

They can't seem to get many bikes to finish the damn race without breakling either. Sheesh. I think all the Ducatis finished!

You can polish and surface treat the BEARING area, no where else. If you're removing noticeable material from the bearing area... well, lets just say you can stay the hell away from my motors. : )

(My read is they polished the whole crank, and may have lightened it some as well.)
