Ezup - anyone know of a good price?

These things are pricey for nothing more than a frame and some fabric, where can the deals be had?

Ebay?

thanks!

walmart (or even better, sams club) have them for like $89

get what you pay for but if you take care of it they work fine

It is very true that you get what you pay for ... I recommend spending alittle more if you can swing it.

The weather on race weekends changes in an instant ... from beautiful weather, to a monsoon ... and I have even heard rumors of waking up to snow

haha

I saw real E-Z Ups at joblot in Woonsocket for $139. They were 12' x 12'. White only. I forgot which model, but they were the commercial grade ones. Walmart has the First Up brand which looks ok for occasional use, but they don't seem very sturdy.

YEAH - down at Jennings having to buy one and i ended up tying it down to spare tires, tool boxes, and anything with weight each corner... I need to get some sides for it eventually, but I will not need it at Loudon, its more for travelling - although VIR has garages so... another thing to collect dust -

you get what you pay for with those. my blue one is a cheapo and it shows, but white one is an "EZ-UP" and its much nicer. came with walls too which Alex can attest are nice to have when the wind is blowing and it raining.

You could buy a "Palace".
20'x 24'
OR
Drop the sides and this leaves you with a 10' x 20' enclosure.

Re: Ezup - anyone know of a good price?

I have 2 of the Ezup's from Sam's club. I think they were around $199 or less each.
Had the first since 2004 and and it's still going strong. They have held up to every wind storm loudon has thrown at them.
Even the big suprise rain and wind storm at Summit last year with two of us hanging on the frame trying to keep it from being launched.

They have the actual EZUp brand at ocean State Job Lot (I know there is one in Newport, NH, but don't know where others are located). Not sure of the price, but every time I see it I think, wow that's a smoking deal! I think a 10x10 was under $100?

We have one of these we use for Patriots games and anything else we have a need for and it is well worth the money. Its a pricey up front investment but it is very durable and you should get plenty of life out of it.

Re: Ezup - anyone know of a good price?

I've never had much luck with the $100 variety tents. Eventually the covering wears through or the thin-wall frame buckles. As pointed out, tying it down properly certainly helps.
