I wanted to know how many running watts chicken hawk standard tire warmers use so I can plan my needs for a generator. Thanks.

Honda EU3000is generator runs 2 sets (4 warmers) of C' Hawks, but that's it. If I try to plug anything else in, POP goes the breaker.

Need about 7-8 amps max . In T1a 2 tire warmers and 2 battery tenders trip a 15 amp breaker. Sucks when you find out when you are taking off the tire warmers for a race.

Chickenhawks Scroll down and find where wattage is discussed. If there is an amperage rating of the generater, all you need to do is find out what the output AC voltage is and divide that into the amount of watts. For example: 115 watts divided by 115 volts = 1 amp. Another: 800 watts divided by 115 volts = 7 amps. If your generater is rated in watts and your device you will plug in is rated in amps, just multiply the amps with the supplied volts the generator supplies and you will get your watts required.

A Honda EU2000 is perfect for tire warmers...and very handy to have around the house. It's amazing how quiet they are...something like 48db? 2 people holding a conversation is louder than this this generator. And the best part, it'll run for 8 hours on 1 gallon of gas

i use the plugs at the track, and it can be a bit of a pain in the ass...people fighting over outlets and whatnot (at least where i pit, and I have to run like 75' of extension cord to reach). But it works fine for me.

i'd probably suggest trying to use the outlets at first just to see if the investment in a generator is even needed at this point.

That sounds like a good idea. I do have a generator that I can use at the shop, but it's good to know that I may not need it.

just fyi its $10 to use the outlets for the weekend....a guy named nate on a 4wheeler will find you and ask for it if he sees you using one.
