Not quite sure what the Penguin School requirements are, but for the Rookie Race you'll have to go through and pass LRRS Tech.
If you are taking the Penguin School but not doing an LRRS race weekend until later, you don't do your Rookie Race until your race weekend.

thanks, it looks like he'll get away with Penguin by just epoxying "wet" bolts.

You don't have to safety wire for Penguin.

So "LRRS tech" would mean you have to have safety wire for the rookie race...

Is what I thought.

Re: Race prep Bike for Rookie race?

You thought right

To break it down:

Penguin does not require full race prep.
Rookie race falls under LRRS and requires full race prep and tech

Wouldn't be the first time we've had this type of party... I can help volunteer if need be.

Well my bike is pre-drilled already so that should save some time and cussing.

Re: Race prep Bike for Rookie race?

if we have more than a few guys, i dont mind bringing my drill press and a few sets of safety wire pliers, but otherwise... i'll just lend a hand where needed.

P.S. have mre than one 1/1" drill bit if you plan on doing it with a hand held drill.
