I should have some better xrays and maybe even some surgery photos or video next week if anyone wants to see.

Re: Looking for photos or spectators to Sat. Race #3 Turn 2-3 1st lap crash

i had a front row seat to this nasty set of crashes on my 636, felt like it happened in slow motion - i was lucky to sneak aound the outside of the downed bike - it left a sick feeling in my stomach when we re-gridded and i looked to my left and no wookie... glad to hear no one was seriously injured

Sounds like you're all set on finding a Doc, but just in case you want a second opinion I went to Dr. Uroskie at the Sports Medicine North center in Danvers MA. Sports Medicine North

He did a great job of mending me up but I DO have reduced range of motion despite a Physical Therapy... I'm gonna check with my insurance about getting the hardware taken out soon.

If ya have any questions about my experience just lemme know.
+1 for sports medicine north! i go there to. I had some shoulder issues (dislocated a few times) from last year's downhill mountain bike season. feels great this year after some therapy...thank god i avoided surgery. good docs there.

Re: Looking for photos or spectators to Sat. Race #3 Turn 2-3 1st lap crash

I've updated photos and x-rays Ted Duncan of DUNCANMOTO race accident April 26t, 2008

Surgery was very successfull. I should be able to race in August

A small bone transplant. Thank you to some unamed human donor.
A couple of pins, 1 stays and 1 comes out, (That'll probably hurt).
A really cool Carbon fiber plate with titanium screws and stainless steel case hardened roller bearings. The doc gave me a 5 year crash replacement warrantee.

Cast came off Wednesday the 14th
Stitches come out next week on the 21st.
Pin comes out 1st week in June or sooner.
My ARC reactor will be installed soon thereafter.

now watch your insurance company claim is was "cosmetic" and it won't be covered!! Good luck with recovery, wrist breaks can be tricky

Re: Looking for photos or spectators to Sat. Race #3 Turn 2-3 1st lap crash

looks like you already got a ton of descriptions from different angles.. I was working in three and saw the kawi go down and spinning across the track, its amazing that so many people missed it. it collected the next bike and more people missed then it collected 1 more. Your bike was pretty much straight up and down in the air, front tire maybe 1 to 3 feet off the ground. When I got down there to help pick the bikes up 2 had to be trailered off because they wouldnt roll... there was a divet in the pavement from a peg that was maybe 6 inches long and a good 1.5-2 inches deep. It was a hard hit, glad in the end everything is turning out ok.

It is great to see that between the NESR members we pretty much have every corner covered for you guys
