Every bolt that can cause problems is safety wired. I safety wire them all after I put anything back on the bike (wheels etc) that way, the rider can take a glance over the bolts and axles etc and see that they are on and wired...no problems.
...and as a racer, there is never any excuse to run out of gas...never. I don't buy the "things get hectic" thing. We weren't rushed for any of Denno's races. We made a mistake as a team and to that end I will take responsibility. It won't happen again, but not for the reasons you might think. I was speaking more for the brand new guys who like me got a bike and POS trailer and went racing, Not all of us are/were lucky enough to have some Good vet racers helping through the begining stages.
Thats all and no Harm can come of making the good habit ofchecking your bike yourself no matter who even mat mladins crew chief helped you.
