Re: Race plates color

many folks don't paint their novice plates on their bike since they are on there such a short time (usually...unless you're chad). of course you can do whatever suits your needs, but if you plan on running lots of races and think you'll be quick, you may be in for a new paint job next year. or even at the end of this one.

That's why plates have two sides. Just flip it over and paint one side yellow. The spay paint cans made for plastic works really well. Just be sure to wash and dry the plate you are painting and it will adhere awesome.

I prefer the 10/100 rule (or variations on it)... if it looks good from 10 feet or 100mph it's perfect.

just some random thoughts. once you get up there swing by T1a and say hello

Watch out for this guy. Met him at the rainfest at Tony's. He's a former Irish Road Racer...meaning he really raced on roads..think IOM TT.

Plus I think he's really Irish too which means he's a few pints short of a keg if you get my drift.

On top of all that he's a seriously nice guy!

Good luck Rich!!!

He gets my utmost respect then. I stumbled upon a 2007 IRRS year in review vid online, I am now in love with that series.

I have to drop 20 seconds off my pace before I have to worry about changing my plate color.
