Launching in 2nd gear

Is is possible?

I'm having issues with my bike shifting from 1st to 2nd. Every other gear and everything else with bike is okay. I don't want to miss this weekend.

My launches suck anyway...anyone ever try to launch in second gear?

Is this just a stupid, dumb, desparate idea?

or, as you pointed out, the sporster is legal is a bunch of classes.

Haha I meant if you wanna ride it somewhere since its street legal, such as a parking lot or something, have at it.

ive taken off in 2nd on the street- it will bog but if your starts arent great who cares, its all about seat time at this point and you're better served being out there - just fucking full throttle that bitch

BTW: gtu last race weekend - did it matter what gear we started in? really? lol

Since Im not competive yet anyway, I might try it just for kicks. Cant be worse than when I wheel twice on a start Although might there be a danger of me being in the way of someone with more drive running into me thoughts if its safe to try?
