Looks to me like if you go down and bend/break one...your fucked out of both. Also, check out where/what could be damaged if that bolt bends or breaks in the middle...

Re: sv650 frame sliders

I am new to this but I have the Woodcraft sliders purchased from Competition Accessories on my 2006 SV650S. Installing them (during the rain day earlier this year), I was surpised how much they thread into the bike but they are one bolt for each side like others you have looked at. I did one at a time so I can't tell you if you can shine a light through there...

The SV board swears by Motorsliders. I have them myself, and while they use a single bolt, they have been repeatedly crash tested and have saved countless bikes.

single bolt. only way to go. goes straight though the motor. i have the offset ones on amadas. i use Intuitive sliders. they work great. i personally have tested them half a dozen times.

Re: sv650 frame sliders

I can see why they work, but it is a weird thing to me that you would have to undo two motormounts at the same time. I guess you have to feed in one side and then take it across, back out the second and let them connect. The two bolts that are on normal ones seem very strong and What you would want if you ever have to do motor work etc.

Re: sv650 frame sliders

the single bolt ones replace the bolt that runs through the center of the motor (right at the base of the "V". its better than the old kind.
there are at least 3 motor mounts that i can think of.
