08 Daytona (ROC) Race of Champions Who's Going. Set up up your rides here.

You know its coming.
I'm planning on going and can support 5 bikes. 3 trailer 2 back of truck. 4 in the cab to make things comfortable. 5 might be doable. Brian Jeffery was planning to go but now he's moved to Seattle. So I think he's out. Plan is to head out Saturday Oct 11 &/or 12th for the TTD in New Jersey. From there head down to Daytona. My parents live in Deltona, 30 min away and will probably shack out there. I'm sure they will make room for some ratty racers. Return will most likely be on Sunday PM after racing into Monday October 20th.


People that maybe going with me.

1. Gino
2. SMF
3. Chris (stupidhawk) ??????????
4.Mongoose 441 (Bike + Gear only)
5.Hobbs ??????

If things get bigger we may have to see if Hobbs might have his Special Rig around October.

Key to my trip Plan is the Tony Track Day in New Jersey on Monday October 13th.

If I can be put Up I will spring for a rental Car to Get us around a little cheaper and easier then The truck, I will be flying In and out

I'm very interested - I'm going to be at tonys in NJ and plan on continuing South - riding together/ caravaning is always a good idea

To early to tell but I seriously don't think Rebecca will go for it with her due date 3 weeks from Daytona.

verry tempting. would be awesome if we could get Hobbs to bring the rig down. i bet at least 6 bikes will fit in that trailer.

i would have to see what kind of vaca time i would have left.

I'd say do it! Daytona's way easier than loudon. Just faster. Gear your bike accordingly.

only thing to keep in mind is that there is no 'novice' class in the rest of the country. you race everyone that's not an expert (so LRRS NV and LRRS AM). shouldn't discourage you, just something to be aware of.

A motard at Daytona? Are you serious. Geared they top out at about 105 110 mph tops.

I've never been to daytona. Very interesting but I don't think I have the $$ or vaca time.

Ok, count me tentatively in. I have no idea what the GS can do for a top speed, so I'm thinking stock rear, down one in front and not worry about it topping out in 6th?
