Re: please help!! throttle cable

one side or both? change the bad cable with the good cable and only run one. If you want to run that bad. Just make sure the return spring works ok. I have done this to get out of the trails, or make it home on my street bike.

Check with someone else's stores. If no luck, pull it off one of the bikes in the showroom and order a new one to replace it.

why? The return cable doesn't really do much. It's there as a pre-caution. The carb has a return spring. If he's got such a hardon to race. WTF why not? I looked and the cable is exclusive to RMZ450's.

The return cable doesn't do much unless the spring fails. Then it literally saves your ass.
Not trying to call you out, man... chances are it would work fine. If it doesn't, however, the consequences could be HUGE. Not worth it in my opinion.
That's the only point I'm trying to make.

Call bettencourt's Honda in West Bridgewater, ma. if they have one in stock, I'll go grab it today and I'll be at the track for 07:00 tomorrow morning.

Re: please help!! throttle cable

I took of the return on my bike, apparently a lot of EXs did if they switched to a quick turn throttle. Their advice, if it gets stuck, grab clutch quickly.

I've got two brand new cables for an EX. I'll bring them up to the track with me tonight. You're welcome to see if it would fit.
