Doc's 09/27-28 Race report

Where to begin. Started Friday night and didn't leave until Monday night after TTD.

Cliff notes.

Ran in the rain in "Thunderboats" on saturday. Saw SMF crash in front of me in 2 as we were chasing Daviid. It slowed me down enough that I couldn't catch him (he was flying in the wet) and settled for 2nd place.

Got thrown out of the track for doing a donut in the parking lot when we came back from dinner saturday night. Nice relaxing night at the Fairfield Inn where I got to dry out and enjoy a hot shower and run around my room nekid... Came back sunday morning with my tail tucked and apologized. They let me back in (I think Nate actually contributed to them letting me back in! Thanks Nate! ) Thankfully no one else got in trouble for the little incident. (3 others in the truck telling me "do it, do it")

Go out for practice and Gino passes me, I stick in sight for a lap when Oreo passes me and fills the space between Gino and I, cool I can learn some stuff here... Going into one I think (wrongly) that I will brake a little later and make up some time on em, go into 1 too hot and lowside, do the spread eagle to try and scrub of speed and spin on my back, "Hey there is the Flag station, wall, tires, my bike throwing sparks, T1a, the flagger station again... wow I hope I don't hit anything... looks like my bike hit the tires to clear them away from me.. stop spinning, get up and give the all is ok sign. Bike isn't too bad.... back to 1a for repairs.

Race #9 "Ultra Light Super Boats" Last minute decision to keep the rains on for ULSB. Get an ok start, Nice lil group of the front 4 for the first couple laps and then bang down goes SMF again, this time in front of me in 11. he looks ok and ends up being fine. I hate when friends crash in front of me.
I am in 3rd and trying to keep Brewmaster in sight (in 1st) with an illegal 125 GP bike between us. Come around 2 and there is A13x on the ground in the airfence! Frick I gotta keep this bike up! Slow a little but so does 2nd place (14 year old Tyler Sweeny I believe) and I am catching him. On him out of 6 and gonna set him up for a pass outta 12, no need to force a pass, but get the red flag at the Treehouse. Another T1a member had crashed and caused the Red.

Get back to the pits and after some discussion, check in at the media center. RS125 is Dq'd as illegal and I inherit 2nd place in ULSB as well.

Not to bad for my last weekend. Bumped my index up and only need one more good race to bump to expert if I feel like it. (I don't feel like it).

Thanks to all! You guys rock and made a crappy rainy weekend AWESOME! (Even if my punishment did not meet the crime)

Clearly Doc is neither a Hooligan NOR a Squid. He is simply a girl. A real man wouldn't need a truck to do donuts, he would have done them on his bike

Excellent racing this weekend! Well worth standing in the rain getting soaked to watch! And you're welcome for the good luck courtesy of my left hand

Thanks for not running over my bike!

Is that a penis on the back of your truck?

Re: Doc's 10/27-28 Race report

Thanks for the luck Jackie.

I just have to say again that it REALLY sucks seeing your friends Hit the pavement during your race. The only saving grace is not getting the red flag and noticing they are up the next lap...

Alex looked wedged under his bike with corner workers pulling it off him, Scott was just one BIG target right in my line... and Gino... thank god I didn't see Gino hit the wall.

The only reason I stayed up is because I am slower than all of you and you scared the fast outta me.

Oh and yes... It is a penis. It says NO penis!

Doc you have some bad acid at the Fairfield Inn? I was laying in the middle of the track on my stomach as the rest of the Expert field flew by (whoosh weee!!) and then I ran off the track (before Am's came by) to hang out with Dan for a few seconds. My RMZ was laying in the track, up near the wall (didn't hit wall), and once the Cornerworker ran the bike down to me in the grass I fired it back up and continued on...

Crackhead!!

Nice riding Doc! If you though Scott (SMF) going down in front of you was freaky, you should have been right behind him. I discovered late breaking traction and leaning in the rain I never believed could happen! Glad I didn't target fixate is all I can say.

Looking forward to next seasons fun already!

It was a quick glance... Might just have been your bike I coulda swore I saw you getting out from under it and picking it up with corner worker help.

Hey, y'all...

Doc gave me a Guiness, so he's uber-cool in my book.

I kept forgetting about the t-shirt clad rider being you. Glad we actually got to meet this time around. You were looking good 2-5, where I tended to watch a lot of the racing to try and get a clue about the line in 3.
