Does one need to have a race license in hand to do these?

I believe so. You should call the track and find out for sure.

Shouldn't you be doing some testing or something. I mean HIPAA 37031 is right around the corner.

I just may show up and give it a shot anyway. I'll talk with a real heavy accent and tell 'em my name is Ziva Nesbaum and I'm here visiting...

Worst case scenario bring a completed track day certificate or something. Never know it may work.

NHIS Testing Schedule

I do almost every 8-12 open testing session. It's nice because there is ussally only 12 bikes at the track. Also no one checks to see if you have a license or not. I took someone with me last year who didn't have one and we had a blast. I think one reason they don't care is they are lucky to have everyone they can pay the $100 to cover their costs.
It will be nice to have some other guys at the track during these sessions. I usally don't anyone and a lot of times guy are either really fast doing 1:16's and others are doing 1:30's so I'm suck riding by myself.

If I have to I will put gas all over the track and light it to burn off the snow, or better yet I will use that new snow blower you got G-man. So it might take me 2 months to finish it but the track will be clean.

Yo, Scotty, I'll be over for the April 5-6th practice for sure.

Maybe we could hook up. I'll PM my phoney number to ya, give me a ring and come over for a brew sometime.

Scotty,
Have you been to one of the open sessions that has the cars and bikes together? Do you get good riding time? One reason I do the 8-12 session is you can ride as much as you want in 4 hours. I'm just thinking with the cars and bikes together do you run into a lot of down time due to crashes, and time it takes to wait for all the cars to exit the track.
Do you know the cost of it?

NHIS Testing Schedule

Kip,

Upon talking with Betty at the track I believe this is a new format for this year. She said that she would try it on Saturday breaking up the sessions in either 30-40 minute periods. She mentioned the format may change from Saturday to Sunday and that the track needs to be clear and weather needs to be decent for them to warrant having the time for us. I will call her again about a week before and see what if anything has changed.

I have only been to the typical Thursday practice sessions where it is cars then bikes.

Cost is 100.00 per day plus 5 dollars per day for Paddock fee's Garages will be open but I am not sure if power or air will be avail.
