Daytona Pre-reg woes....

I hate banks.

So, I got a call from CCS today saying that Friday my card for pre-reg was declined. I checked my bank account to see if someone has been unknowingly taking my money. Nope. I have plenty to cover it.
So I say WTF and call CCS and go over all the card details them, have them run the card once more today, and it's declined again.
I call my bank, I'm mad. I finally get a fucking human on the phone, and say, "I have a concern with a declined debit card transaction that shouldn't have been declined."
She says, "Was it for over $200?"
(I entered 2 races which equaled $220)
Me:"Why yes, it sure was."
Her:"Well, we've had a problem with our systems here. Our network(or something) is down and we can't access our members accounts. The system safeguard(or something) has restricted all transactions to $200 or less."
Me:"No way"
Her:"Yes, sorry for any inconvenience"
Me(word for word):"Sweet. So since you have money of mine which I can't access and I have a motorcycle which I owe you money for, how about we just call it even?"
Her:"I can't do that, sorry. It should all be taken care of before the end of the day."
Me(gritting my teeth):"I need to make a payment of $220 to someone that has been getting declined since Friday. This really pisses me off."
Her:"I'm sorry, I with there was something I could do."
Me:"There IS something you can do! You can pay them for me!"
Her(laughing):"I don't think I could do that."
Me:"Oh well, then there's something else you could do for me."
Her:"What's that?"
Me:"What do ya think?"
And I hung up.

She sounded hot.

I called CCS back and had them remove me from the HWSS race. It went through just fine after that.

Sucks bro. I've been there with banks.....that's why I deal with CU's only. They are, by far and beyond, anything a bank can offer.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you try two seperate charges of, say, $110 each?

Probably a $200 per day limit. Some banks really close the doors to your money when they have system issues.

Re: Daytona Pre-reg woes....

It was a $200 per day. CCS needed the money before the problem was to be fixed. I'll just post reg for HWSS down there.
