Anyone who brought tools to the track last race weekend. I believe that would be Gerard, Gary, myself and maybe some others.

I have lost some sockets and stuff, and I have "inherited" some stuff. I will put everything that i know isn't mine into a seperate nag and bring them to the track next weekend. if you guys could do the same that would be great. we can dump all the poor lost tools on a table and each pick out which ones are ours.

I don't mind losing the odd tool here and there at the track, but to lose 5 or 6 sockets and a couple of ratchet wrenches each weekend is gonna get expensive and inconvenient.

I'll have all of my tool boxes with me, go through everything. Most are old std. sizes from automotive.

I lost a pair of vice grips; replaced them at lunch today. Plus bought a set of metric impact sockets.

Oh I'm sorry I just sold some sockets and other tools the other day that I found at the track to buy a new set of tires. I didn't think they belonged to anyone. I almost took the entire tool box, but though that would be pushing it.
Thanks for the new tires

I'm only fuckin around, but I did use some tools and I might have put them back in the wrong tool box.

I just got goose bumps all over my body thinking of that. I can already hear here "WE NEED TO TALK".
The funny thing is last "practice" weekend she found the pink copy of the form you take to tech when you sign in. I had to explain to her that it's track policy to sign waivers and things while on the track. But why do I need a transponder you ask?????

I have an idea. hows about you engrave your tools with a name or initials or another identifying logo. perhaps color coded tape on the handles each racer with a different color corsponding to a colored toolbox. It will do away with confusion and miss placed tools.

Like Sean said a good marking would make things easier. Before I hit a big job in the construction field I lay out my tools and spray paint them so I can pick my tools out real easy if they happen to be laying around.

Well also this way if you see a red handled 10mm socket as opposed to a blue handled one sticking out of josh's ass you'll atleast know who it belongs to..
