Endurance race Sunday 31st Aug

Next race weekend sees the annual LRRS endurance race. See www.lrrsracing.com for details.

It is a 3 hour race starting at 3pm.

I plan on entering my bike in a team.

To win the race or get a podium you need to pit as few times as possible, so it is best to have 3 or 4 riders who will do either 1 hour or about 45 minutes each.

However, I am willing to have up to 5 people in the team if no-one else is willing to put their bike up for a team.

I want people to get sponsorship from their family and friends for each lap, for example 10c per lap or something. The money raised will go to the Rob Hadley fund. The endurance team will be called NESR Racing/Rob Hadley Fund. I anticipate us to run approximately 175 laps in the 3 hours.

The total team cost will be about $580 per team including tyres, fuel and entries. This cost will be divided between the riders in the team.

NOTE: The rule is, you crash my bike for any reason, you pay for the repairs or fix it yourself.

Who is in? Add your name to the bottom of the list.

Derek's CBR600F4i Racing with number 105 in GTU class.

Will there be a chance for practice?...As, I have no time in the saddle of a bike having GP shift .....

I'm in!.....Just hope I don't end up being the one paying for any damages.

Do we REALLY want to get into the whole "He had BETTER win, he's on a 1000cc inline 4 dude!!" argument?

Well, I guess we could start out with standard shifting for Gary and Lou, then switch the shifting (about 1 minute to do) for Gerard and whoever else is riding.

that sounds like a great idea. we (in the pits) should try to figure out a way so that we dont have to pit both the bikes at the same time...

I think 2 bike entries would be better but not because of the shifter switch, just because it would mean more riding time per rider. However, we would need another volunteer to put up a bike.

OK..... I'll bet you 2 fast (GP) guys, that I can do a faster lap time than you can on your bike! Without denting your tank

and what's wrong with gay bikes?
