I'll probably be riding in the morning, but staying local. I'm building my new subwoofer box with my dad in the afternoon.

15" sub with 1150WRMS going to it. Hmm...I hope that's enough.

Hey Jc, what do you consider to be " local" ?
I am in marlborough......

MMMMMMMMM sub woofers

I have a pair of 10's now in the dakota, But I had a mazda extra cab with a fosgate 15", you could bounce a quarter a foot off the roof of the truck Too bad it got stolen

Local is within a 50 mile radius of Haverhill. : ) Perhaps we could meet up somewhere in between...maybe ride a bit, grab some lunch? Lemme know. My cell # is 978.852.4893 if you wanna set something up.

Yeah, I've had a few raging stereo's in my day....my Integra had $4k wrapped up in the stereo when it got stolen. Had 600WRMS going to a kicker solobaric 15" in that, and it was amazing!

The truck had a 12" kicker XPL with 500W going to it...and it was ok, but nothing like the solobaric 15". The sub I have now is the solobaric L7...the square one. My amp is rated for 1000W RMS at 2 ohms, but the test sheet showed 1147WRMS! SWEEEET! So I'll add that on and see how it sounds. I'm pretty sure I'll be swapping out the entire system for aftermarket shit to be satisfied with it. Ahh the joys of being a hardcore audiophile.

I may be in for something south of the border too. I've gotta go to the inlaws for lunch (fukkin' Gentiles...), but I'm taking the bike down and I MAY be able to bail a bit early. I'll keep an eye on this thread...

F'ing WAAH Randy, we're setting up our own ride...which falls fully under the context of this thread.

Sean, 9 or 10am? I need to be back home around the same time, so whenever is good for you.

Isn't it exit 31? Either way, it's the Motomarket exit, Rt. 119.

Nope, I'm out. I just spent two hours pulling a friend's truck out of a nasty situation. I'll be spending the ENTIRE FUCKIN' MORNING cleaning my truck...

JC...If you've ever wanted to see what the truck looks like after REALLY burying it, NOW is the time. It's as muddy as it's ever been in all it's thirteen years. I wish I had a digi-cam to document this. But it'll get cleaned up tomorrow, first thing...

Ha ha, ya fuckin' kak! It was much worse than anything I've done in the Soob. I snapped TWO tow straps and a three inch (dia.) tow rope getting him out. A one ton come-along couldn't even help him. It was a flippin' mess I tell ya. A MESS!!!

Welp, the ride was pretty good, a bit of sand here and there but not too bad. It wasn't a mid season rip but for the first real ride of the year, I had fun.
That is until the wife called me while we were eating and informed me that the house main drain was backed up all over the cellar floor i tried plunging it to no avail.
Wouldn't yah know it would happen on a holiday, the rooter man came to pay us a visit had to snake the line out to the street, we had a ton o roots from the shrubs out front, all set now then we got to pay the man for an emergency call on a holiday $$$$$$$$$$$$$ Kewl guy though, turns out he rides a bike and knows another guy local that I ride with.

I'll let JC tell yall the story of the squid we "helped " athe gas station this mornin

Ride Sunday 3/31

Well we were standing in front of the Mobil on rt. 119, when a bike pulled up at the lights across the intersection. I thought it was an R1 cuz it sounded pretty sweet, but it was actually an R6 with a pipe.

He pulls up to the pumps, not looking at us even once. He does the helmet off/baseball cap on all at once, move...and fills up. This kid was a total pretty-boy, and fit the whole no-clue stereotype. We had our fun up until that point, but little did we know we were REALLY gonna be able to rag on this kid.

He walks past us to pay, and says hi to us...though he looked like he'd have rather just walked past without even looking at us. He gets back out, and gets ready to head out again.

What's that? Ohhhh, his bike won't start! His explanation: "you know the things on the bottom of the battery things? I'm missing the bottom thing of it, while I was juggling batteries I lost it somehow." Sean noted that his plate was held on with drywall screws. His seat didn't latch on. His throttle had no grip.

I asked him if it was fuel injected (mostly hoping for this answer...to which he replied "uhhh....I don't know". So I suggested that we bump start it...he didn't seem to know WTF I was talking about...so I told him, "put it in second gear and hold the clutch in. We're gonna push you across the lot, then let the clutch out when I say". He seemed fine with that plan. At this point one of his pretty-boy friends pulls up in mom's taurus wagon...and he helped push. This kid turned out to be more bike savvy than the rider..hahah. So we get pushing him...and I say "ok let the clutch out". He had it in fucking neutral! WHAT PART OF SECOND GEAR DON'T YA UNDERSTAND?! So his buddy (who was helping us push) tells him "get off, just get off...I'll do it." He jumps on, and I give him a quick push...and bang he's up and running. The rider asked "how did you know to do that?" HAHA, uhm...that's the oldest trick in the book man.

He was MUCH nicer to us after that...and I'm sure he musta felt like a dumbass. He DID have a jacket, helmet, and good gloves on...so I gotta give him SOME credit. But this guy knew next to nothing about anything to do with his bike.

So that's that. Sean/Randy, did I leave anything out?

you left out the part about him killing the engine when he put the kick stand down while it was in gear after he started it, and wondered why it stalled.

Well when the kid's bike wouldn't start he looked over at us and asked " do any of you have jumper cables?" The part that really suprised me was that randy said "no".......I figured of all things in the saddle bags would be some of those
