hey ben did you get your recall notice? i heard on vfr discussion honda's being a pain in the ass with parts for the linked brakes if your bike turns out to need the repair. a wait as long as two weeks. i will not take my bike to the local hack dealer. naults or concord honda anygood? i want this done before the season starts. aparently it already has for you?!

Anybody ride today?

I just called today, I'm going to drop my bike off saturday.

Did you get the recall notice? The issue only affects the rear brake and it is a slow leak from a valve. I have no issue riding around, as my bike may not even have the problem, I check the brake fluid regularly, and again, it is just the rear brake.

I hope they are not a PITA with the part but it is certainly not something that worries me enough to stop me from riding. It is not as if the recall involves sudden and total failure of the front brakes. If that was the case I'd be trailering it to the dealership.

Do your own brake job and fuck it up and it could be a lot worse than this recall.

I couldn't tell you about Nault's or Concord Honda, but I'd guess someone else on the site could. I've had work at Best Cycle in Nashua before and they are a Honda dealer. I'm having it done at GBM, they seem to have done a good job before and are convenient.

I went riding again today... just to go have the recall check done.

No issue with my brakes.

Other than it being impossible to keep my visor/glasses from fogging it's actually a nice day and I might have just gone riding for the afternoon.
