I heard 91 rocks.

Just peep this link before heading out to see what roads they'll be on and plan accordingly.

Route 17 report - 4-9-05. It's passable on a bike, bundle up and be careful. The state of Vermont was really good about putting down sand and salt this year. Waitsfield side is OK, a few patches of sand on the edges and in the middle. Hinesburg side is white with salt, and has piles of sand all over the place.

Rt 17 doesn't go through Hinesburg, but the feeder road (116) does. I was trying to give reference to the side of the mountain (Bristol side if you prefer).

no, I usually refer to it as the S. Starksboro side even though I know that all the twistie part is in the gore , anyway, that's my perspective from living in Hinesburg the first half of my life,

I was just razzin ya, I have a lot of memories on Rt 17 before it was 17, as many heading out to the bridge to NY

when I go visit my dad, I usually head up thru Hanksville, huntington

Would it be worth it to take route 9 from the start on the NH VT border to NY?

Rt. 17 is currently unfit for anything other than a fucking dirt bike.

I think I got 2 feet of air on the R1 over some of the goddam frost heaves.
