Ride Report for 4.15.05

cold and alone cold and alone cold and alone aaaaggggaaaiiiiiinnnnn. (sorry - I was listening to Tree earlier)...

I went out today to check out a coupla houses. First one was in Moretown so I ripped on down 100 (which was in poor shape) and rolled through duxbury and into Moretown. Road to the village was freakin RAD. Foudn the roadthat the house was on but didn't get very far down it cause at house #283 it turned to dirt with gravel over it and I was lookin for # 1716 so I didn't think it was something that I wanted to get into. Next house was Huntington so I figured the easiest way to get there was to continue down 100 to 17. Begining wasn't bad but once you get to Mad River Glen and start your acent - COLD. The only pic (other than houses) I took is below looking at the Glen. You start to go up and the sides are still snow. Frost Heaves haven't even set up yet cause I don't think it has gotten warm enough for the water to get under the road to set em up. At the lower elevations there are heaves and when there is a sign that says "careful frost heaves" or "BUMP" -you had better slow the fuck down or you getting airborn. I think that I maxed out on 17 at a whopping 30mph - and it was still scarry at that speed. If the cold wasn't enough - the sand makes ya a bit nervous.
Ripped up Gore road through Buel's Gore and Hanksville into Huntington. Found the house - exactly where I thought it was. I like it. On the river. I hope it's still available when we look to buy. Looks unoccupied at this point so we are hoping. It's like between 5-10 miles from 17. Would be cool place to live. Rounded out about 167 miles. Colchester to Moretown to Huntington to Shelburne to Williston to Jericho to Westford and back to Colchester. Superb day and lookin to be 67 tomorrow and 70 by Tuesday.

are you telling me that a 250 has enough power to pull you around? You are certainly not a small guy after all.
