44 is not too bad. Anything worth while would be out of the way, but it would be worth the extra time/mileage to get there!

Have you been to the VB before? If so be sure to bring your Credit Card!!!!

You don't want to pick up 44 in Providence though....you will go through too much city shopping areas and stop lights.

Go Rte 6 to 14 to 116 to 44

No I haven't been up there.. Or anywhere around here yet... Just moved up here from Raleigh NC and just broke down one day about 3 months ago and got a new bike.. So I'm frantic to find places to go..

Wanted to go on the ride/bbq that Misstwisties had but had to work that weekend...

What are some other good places to go routes to take around here.. Once the rain stops that is..

First thing is get out of RI ! There is only one good road in RI, but I forget what it was. I think it was one I took to get out!

Head to western Mass, buy a good detailed map and you will be amaized at the roads on the otherside of the Quabin res! Southern, Central, west and North NH have some good back routes, as VT is By far the best in the area! Oh western CT isn't too shabby either.

If I find some time in the near future (When it rains) I will try to send you some idea's, maybe show you some roads via follow the leader! Try to talk R7, Big Red or anyother of those local yocals to get together for a ride. Those two know some good routes!

Mike

NC huh? Were you riding there? So close to Deals Gap! Man it would take me a lot to get me away from that area if it was me!
Ever head out to Deals Gap or hit any of the western NC roads or TN/SC/GA roads in and around that area of the Gap? I should start looking for a job down there and buy up some property. I love it there. Not much for night life, but the riding is increadible!

never made it over to Deals Gap... Wanted to but was always riding the backroads around Raleigh or over to the coast... Then my CBR900RR got stolen and have been bikeless for the last 3 years.. And I do miss NC... have some friends that live in Winston-Salem and it's not too bad to go out or Charlotte... And they are right close to the Gap.. I kick my self for not going when I was down there.. Was thinking about going down this Fall and riding it with my buddy that still lives down there..

And playing follow the leader would be great... Still getting my comfort level up on the new bike.. It is definetly not the same ride as the old bike...

6 to 101 to 169 is my usual preference to get to the VB.

101 has quite a few frost-heaves lately, but other than that, not too bad. Plenty of good loops around the VB if you don't want to head all the way out to the Bershires.

Come down Rt 6, pick me up at my house on Elmdale Ave, and we'll tear some shit up on the way there.

There are some nice roads in RI, just got to know where to find them. There are some fun scenic routes too when you just want to relax.

I went for ride down RT 95S to Rt 102 in Exeter and followed it all the way back to Rt 101 in Scituate last week, lots of bikes on the same route.

I went on a nice loop Sunday 95S to 102 to 3, to 165, then went up to Vanilla Bean from there. Once you hit 165 there are a few turns but I forget the route numbers

I started riding out there Saturdy and as soon as I got across the CT line it started raining and I'm thinking "it'll stop soon" but kept getting harder.. So pulled my U since there was no place to hide and got back in front of the rain for the rest of the ride home... So need to try again.... Maybe this week....

When are you heading to the Bean? Man God and I like to take our bikes up there on Sundays to grab some $8 pancakes and check out the bikes.

Hey Citizen,

The 23rd is probably out. My husband will be on-call that weekend, and I'm working late this week. I do have Friday off but have an interview at 2, so that's out too. Bummer about this weekend, but I hear the weather is supposed to be crappy anyway. I'm guessing the next time we head up there will be on the 31st.

Frye,

I'll let you know. With my luck, I'll get picked to be on the jury when I head to jury duty next week.

As for the 31st, the more the merrier!! I'm up for it!
