    My Canadian Adventure..........

    Hey Peeps,

Well, I'm one week into my Canadian adventure. I rode up to Bar Harbor, Me Last Saturday to catch the ferry to Nova Scotia. I had the luck of following hurricane Cindy all the way up too. I toured the south coast up to Cape Brenton and shot north on RT7 to get onto Cape Brenton.

On Cape Brenton I toured the west/north coast to hook up to the Cabot Trail. The scenery and road is awsome. Lots of Moose too. I followed the Cabot Trail to Sydney Mines where I caught another ferry to Newfoundland.

Newfoundland has the most dramatic scenery I have ever experenced. I was heading up the western coast of Newfoundland to get to St. Anthony to catch another ferry to Labrodor but the cold rain turned me around. Patches of snow still rest on the sides of the mountians. Glad I turned around and headed west again. I rode into beautiful sunshine.

Hope all is well with everyone at NESR. I can't post pics till I get home. I have two more weeks of touring. I must say I am a bit tired at the end of the day now but the road pushes me on. It really has been a bitch keeping tne duc clean as well. Everyone here sounds like Adam here when they talk too. English/Scotish sometimes hard to understand.

Having a great time so far.

The Viffer prolly would have been a better option indeed. But, everything is just Ducky so far.

Funny thing though not a lot of peeps up here ever heard of Ducati. My bike seems to get a lot of attention.

good to hear that your ride is going so well aside from the rain. I can't wait to see the pics.

Did you ever end up getting any touring cases for the bike? I imagine that it would be tough to get everything for this trip into a backpack.

We need to do some more rides after you rest up from this one.

Good luck on the rest of the trip Wayne-o.

Coming back early Wayne? It's not time for another valve adjustment already is it?

Did you take the AAA Jet Wash Guide with you, or just fifty pounds of bling polish?

Sounds very civilized, I am tempted to go there immediately!

    My Canadian Adventure..........

    Hey peeps,

I don't know if you understood what I was saying in my last post but, the ferry going from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia had internet access.

Newfoundland was a bitch on my Duc Adam. Between the rain and ganite dust on the roads.........my poor Ducky looked like a cement mixer. I have found a wealth of understanding as far as people providing a hose to wash my bike at places I stayed at.
My bike has gotten its typical wash after a days ride though.

The Cabot Trail has awsome sights and the eastern side of it is a bikers dream. I will post some pics when I get back.

Right now I am in Woofville, Nova Scotia. The weather has been great this week. I have also discovered some pretty nice roads on the central/western side of N.S. (Bay of Fundy area). The coast road from Amhurst to Truro is awsome.

Will post up when I can as the trip goes on.

that's only 1400 miles away, don't you think you should have it done sooner than September, or do you plan not riding after you get back?

Finding gas hasn't been an issue so far but the petro startions are spaced conveniently for the range of the ducati. go figure.

Make sure you have a brand new set of tires on the bike before you leave if you're running a typical sport tire. The road texture is a bit more coarse than in the states. I will need new tires when I get home.

I hade the 18k service done one week before I left. It was just over the 18k mark. I really didn't think I would do so many miles. I may reschedule to a sooner date.

That is awesome Wayne, you put away the miles well enough, so I won't call you a tart for washing it too often.

But, I think you need a second bike that's built for this kind of work and likes being dirty. It would also help keep the Duck miles down.

I hear you on the tank range, a friend of mine with a Monster had to strap on fuel cans recently while on a trip out West.

Welcome back Wayne-o. Can't wait to see the pics if you ever get around to sorting through them all to post up.

You missed another rain ride yesterday too, though I'm sure there will be plenty more before the season is out.
