ride to ATTITASH

Even though I posted on another ride thread I'd go along, the Attitash slides is calling my name....

Can we get a rough estimate time/meeting area(even town), just to figure out how early of a morning it would be?

im probably leaning towards a nice round number like 10 am, that way everyone has time to get to whereever we are meeting but i can do earlier if people want. as for what town....... not sure. maybe Manch or the Epsom traffic circle again at the D&D.

ride to ATTITASH

ok i took the time to actually look at a map today and assuming we are starting from the Epsom circle we will head out 28 and around the lake towest ossipee, where we will head up to north conway then to the 'tash. after the 'tash i was planning on continuing down 302 to 93.
at this point anyone who wants to split and head home down 93 is free to do so. i am gonna cut across the Kanc and then south on some back highways towards home. anyone who continues with me and still has to head to Mass to go home can take 16 to 202 to 93 or 16 to 95. the 202 route means no tolls. but the only toll that you actually have to pay is the Hampton toll on 95 if go the 16 route since NH says you dont have to pay the toll in the exact change lanes any more, so you can blow the other 2 tolls if you want.
as for a time frame of when i want to be at the 'tash.............. im not sure since ive never done this route but im guessing around lunchtime so im hoping there is food there
if anyone wants to add on to this or maybe slightly vary it if you know some roads then im open to that. the map that YZF posted shows some alternate routes that will get us to the same places so those are definitly a possiblity
i guess that we will meet at the D&D at the Epsom traffic circle at 10. when i say 10 please try and plan to be there by 9:30 at the latest. there a Mobil across the way and if you dont know where the circle is..... its right off 93 or 393. probably the 202/4/9 exit and if own a map its where 28 crosses 202/4/9.

I will look for you at the corner of rt 16/25 @ 10:30 then?
( BBQ PIT and McD on the corner)

are you plan on cutting back over the Kanc ( rt 112) from Lincoln ( exit 32 on I-93) back to Conway???

Quote:
I am gonna cut across the Kanc and then south on some back highways towards home
depending on how you play this, there are some roads not too far out of the way to ride before you pick 93 back up...(302 to Littleton, rt 135 from Littleton to Bath, rt 117 Sugar hill, pick up 3 south down to the Kanc or hit 93 of of 117 ( Franconia)

Only suggestions for those who wish for a longer ride....depending on weather too....

as for lunch..........stay away from there........ :

Just head back a bit to N conway for tons of choices, or pick up a sandwich at Kringles a few miles up the road....

as for your other routes........... sounds good to me, and i agree on weather permitting, supposed to be cloudy but dry i think (fingers crossed)

that was a good time we didnt get much riding done but the slides were good and we got to watch some Moto GP too
we stayed dry on the way home but kept getting behind all the slow people. still a good time though.
pictures that YOU took came out good.
the pictures of pictures are a little blurry but still better than nothing
it was nice meeting you Rob and we will have to head up that way again soon

Awesome! Thanks for the pictures Rob! That was f'n hilarious. People were looking at us like we had, er...helmets on going down the slides.

Apparently I needed it, since I abused the hell out of my gear, crashing the 'tash.

Riding home tonight on 93, and I'm behind this POS Ford Aerostar, year, uh...1902 or something. Guy drifts onto the rumblestrip, and I hear a clacking sound....his f'n hubcap rolling right towards me. Luckily I swerved enough where it just hit my foot.

Oh yea, I remember that dog. I saw something in the road, and Pete flashing his brakes for me(I had a great view of them from 100 yards away), and the dog just stared at me going by him.

Yea, by the time we met up with you, then had to be 6 year olds on the sleds, then watched the race...it was late.

It cleared up for the most part on the way back. By the time we made it to the next gas station after leaving you, was 10 degrees warmer than when we ran into the rain.

That was supposed to be the "hands back relaxing pose."

I decided last minute flipping off the cameras may not be the brightest thing too do with all the kids looking at the pictures.
